Not for Admin I still don't understand what the high rating was for. This is not a book for admins at all - this is a book for those actually using salesforce and want to learn how to navigate the platform. The book is a 2 part (or wanted to be) - the first half is about the user facing a manual of how to use SF which could be given a B ratingIt is in the second part that the book falls apart. This is where the author claims to cover Admin related learning outcomes - The so called business cases: Do not fool yourself into thinking this is SF Traiblerzer category... oh no - this is one sentence explaining the next window - In addition to not even aligning what the author is doing with what you will probably have in your Dev Org, the writing also falls apart. The redundancy of "as you saw in the preceding screenshot" - in the following screenshot - not only these two don't even align with what you are reading on Kindle - it becomes so annoying by the n'th time -The telling for me was the chapter on security which I really was expecting to be a serious part of the bookThere is NOTHING on security except very basic (very basic) tabs from the set up menu. In addition the author spent an entire chapter listing ALL the definitions you get from SF - literally word per word. I don't understand how this is not plagiarismThen you have an entire chapter on sandbox - if you are an admin or training to become one you should figure this one on your own ....Oh no, save your money you are much much much better off just getting free stuff on SF - this book gets 2 starts for the user training part and that is very generous.

Glosses over details I was hoping to get more detail about a few specific issues such as connecting to Outlook. Unfortunately, all it provided on the topic was 'Salesforce can be configured to connect to Outlook".....That said, there is some very useful information.

Great Beginner SupplementL Resource We use this book to train new admins in our Salesforce administrator course for PepUp Tech. This book is valuable because of the straightforward writing and examples given. Our admins give high ratings and we continue to assign this as required reading in our classes.

Exactly what I needed I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book when I purchased it. I have been trying to learn Salesforce for a few months using Trailhead, Udemy, and other platforms which are all great, but had me jumping from one thing to the other. This book was the glue that brought it all together for me and helped me focus on the foundation. You won’t learn everything there is to know about Salesforce in this book, but you will get a great foundation to start on.
